Rapeseed

Rapeseed or Brassica napus is a plant from which rapeseed oil is extracted and used in the production of biodiesel. The leaves of this plant are also used as fodder for livestock due to their high fat and moderate protein content, and for this reason, they are cultivated in many countries. Rapeseed is the second largest food source of protein in the world, although it is only one-fifth as important as soybeans. Currently, rapeseed is one of the top three oilseeds in the world. The nature of rapeseed is warm and contains mineral salts and fat. Rapeseed contains 25-55% oil, 18-24% protein and 12-20% peel.
